Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how KJV Bible ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use our application.
Our core philosophy is simple: Your data belongs to you. We have designed this application to prioritize your privacy by keeping your data on your own device.
1. Data Collection and Storage
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers.
All user-generated data—such as reading progress, bookmarks, highlights, notes, and application preferences—is stored entirely locally on your device using a browser-based database technology called IndexedDB.
Because this data remains exclusively on your device:
- We cannot access, read, or share your notes or reading history.
- If you clear your browser data, uninstall the application, or switch devices, your stored data will be permanently deleted unless you manually export it (if the application provides an export feature).
2. User Accounts
KJV Bible functions completely without requiring a user account. You are not required to provide an email address, username, password, or any other personally identifiable information to access the full features of the application.
3. Third-Party Services
Because our application is designed to function offline and locally, we do not integrate with third-party tracking services, data brokers, or advertising networks. We do not sell or rent your data because we do not possess it.
4. Children's Privacy
Because our application does not collect personal information, it is safe for users of all ages. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically if we add new features or if required by law. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Since we do not have your contact information, we recommend reviewing this page occasionally.
